Salesforce / Workflow-based host operations

Host operations without
direct server access.

A security constraint became a new operational platform.

The trigger

Security requirements removed direct access to the Salesforce Edge team's Linux servers. Engineers still needed a dependable way to perform host operations.

End-to-end delivery

I led the response from design through production. I deployed Temporal through Puppet and developed the Temporal workflows that replaced all operations on the team's Linux bare-metal hosts running Docker Compose.

The result

Workflow-based automation replaced direct host operations. Temporal deployment and workflow implementation were distinct pieces of my engineering contribution.

Owned from design through production.

The confirmed scope is the team's Linux/Docker Compose hosts. This is a separate platform from EdgeFlow and its managed-Airflow workflows.
